A group of 12 friendly Nins peg people in rainbow colors. The 12 Nins become a toy which can be used as a symbolic play, to create stories and small worlds. However, combined with other elements, they can be part of mathematical, language and sensorial games, among others. Moreover, this material is not structured, which allows for it to be used in a broad number of ways. They don’t have eyes, or a gender. This way, it’s the children who can develop their own stories and it’s them who decide which character they are going to play.
Grapat toys are designed to stir the imagination, to allow the child to be creative in her own way. There is no right way to play with the toys: just go where the fancy takes you!
My ten month old plays with these every day. He loves knocking them over and they've done great double duty as teethers. Just perfect.

These little nins are adorable: the colors are quiet, pleasant looking and versatile: 'find the gnome' - a "you're hot; you're getting cold" etc.; set several on the table as centerpiece and let them choose a gnome to sit by their plates - saying the color first, as age allows - each time they finish a food group; memory game - put an age appropriate number on a tray, let them study them, then remove one and ask which color was removed; an18 month old spent a good 45 minutes setting them up on a shelf, then taking them down; then setting them up again. There are just so many ways to have fun with these little nins!
